Built by a Father & Son.
After spending years working for other alarm companies, Theo Garber saw a problem — customers were being overcharged, locked into equipment they didn’t own, and handed off to faceless national call centers when something went wrong. He knew there was a better way.
So in 2012, Theo started ProTECHt from the ground up — built on the belief that Indianapolis homeowners and businesses deserve commercial-grade security at a fair price, installed and serviced by someone who actually lives in their community. The philosophy was simple: treat every customer the way you’d want your own family treated.

Theo founded ProTECHt in 2012 after years in the security industry, watching national companies take advantage of homeowners—charging too much, delivering too little, and treating customers as a transaction rather than a relationship.

Tristan joined ProTECHt as a teenager in high school, working alongside his dad learning the trade from the ground up. What started as a part-time job turned into something much more — a genuine passion for the craft of security installation and the satisfaction of protecting families.
He never left. Over the past 12 years Tristan has grown from technician to Co-Owner, helping Theo run and grow the business.
